Robin started his job on Wednesday. It's been strange adjusting to him being gone. And it seems a lot longer in a way, than 3 nights. He is going to be gone for about 17 days this time due to the roster needing to be worked out. That kinda sucks but can't be helped.
So far the kids have been ok. I'm starting to wonder how they will go when he leaves the second time though.
Rian has been playing with the iPod a lot. That keeps him happy as he loves it. Adria is sleeping over at Hayley's tonight.
Not a lot going on. Been shopping a bit and today got most of what I want to put in a shoe box for Operation Christmas Child. I have a couple of other things to add.
Will also give some money to my sponsor girl Fern, for Xmas and hope to send her some photos.
Things have not been any less frustrating here unfortunately. Brandon's climbing is exasperating. Right now out main couch is against a wall because he won't stay off. With tiles all around he can't afford to fall. He also climbs on Adria's bed.
Rian is doing better with the potty. I'm thinking of moving him into his own room but the more I think of it I don't know if it's a good idea. Might be too much change at the moment and I don't know how I will feel with him in another room.
Sounds as if its not going to happen huh?
Trying to get some knitting done too, still working on the vest for Brandon. Sure hope I've got enough yarn!!
Been miffed about friends not staying in touch. Not here but via text or email. Not just friends met via Facebook either but irl friends. I feel like I'm the one always initiating the conversation. So I'm purposely not contacting people even though I am thinking of them, to see if they ever think of me and if we are really friends.
As well my own aunty hasn't initiated conversation with me for a while either. :(
Brandon and Eb sound a lot alike. Eb is constantly climbing on everything. I try to ignore it now unless I think she could seriously hurt herself, because the more attention I pay to it, the more she does it. Drives me nuts :/
ReplyDeleteYou know, I've moved around a lot and what I've discovered is that sadly, 90% of people don't bother to keep in touch. I hope you don't think I'm one of those people. I'm just really struggling with the kids at the moment.
Brandon is totally the same! he is so cheeky. I pretty much just shut him out of anywhere he can climb lol and I had our lounge chair raised 2 inches so he can't climb on it now! its so high my feet don't even touch the ground and I'm tall lol
ReplyDeleteI'm really glad we've stayed in touch and nope you are not one of those people at all!
I hear you on struggling! I am constantly :/ hope things get easier for you x
