What's important for me

As a teen, I wanted to be a missionary. I had brochures from Youth With a Mission about a ship sailing to the Solomon Islands. Unfortunately I lacked the confidence to go, who knows how it might have changed my life?
I've always wanted to be able to make a difference somewhere, somehow but for a long time that desire was pushed aside by everyday life. This year though, opportunities have arisen and I have been  sponsoring a girl from Thailand and more recently found an organisation I can contribute to monthly to help end child trafficking and child prostitution.
So far I've written once to Fern (who, in my mind I think of as my sponsored daughter seeing as she is an orphan) and I need to send a photo of us. I really look forward to hearing something back soon. It's important to me that my kids know how blessed they are and to learn to share their blessings with others however they can.
I hope in future I can do things more tangible than send money, but for now, where I'm at, I feel blessed and inspired that I can do a small something that will help a child reach much more of her potential.

Other important things in a smaller scale and much less inspiring would be getting a little time to myself to get my knitting project complete! So close to be done. But as soon as it is I'll be itching to start another. I have a lot of yarn and my birthday present is a new set of needles, currently in the mail.
But, this week has been all about being unwell, for all if us :(
Desperately looking forward to wellness, finding some motivation and spring!

I brought a cute lil camera the other day so will try to post some pics once we are well and can take some.

If anyone is interested in helping rescue kids and prevent child prostitution, you can for as little as $40 a year. Ask for links :)
